The group meets once a month in one another’s houses to play piano music. Everyone is encouraged to come to the meeting with one or two pieces of music that they are prepared to play in front of the rest of the group, although some may initially prefer to just listen.

We have a good range of abilities in the group from near-beginners to people who have not played much since their school days and some highly proficient players. We are all aiming to improve our performance from whatever our starting point happens to be.

The regular meetings provide some motivation to practise. It is also a good opportunity to listen to others, picking up ideas on piano technique and new repertoire. And we’re a friendly bunch – so no-one need feel anxious about joining us.
