You can now join us online by filling in the form lower down this page.

If you want to join a particular group, please check with the group leader to see if there is a space for you before committing to paying your subscription, as some are full. You may also have questions about the group you are interested in. To contact the Group Leader go to the ‘Groups’ webpage, scroll down to the Group List, then click on the link to the Group concerned and finally find the Group’s email or telephone contact details.

If you are not yet a Stokesley & District u3a member you should let the Membership Secretary know your name and the group you would like to try before you attend a group meeting as a guest (click on Membership Secretary). This is for insurance reasons.

While you are deciding whether to join Stokesley & District u3a you may attend two Group Meetings and one Monthly Meeting.

PLEASE NOTE: If you want to join any walking group or go on any visits for groups such as the Outings group you MUST be a member of the Stokesley & District u3a for insurance reasons.

What does it cost to be a member?

The annual subscription for 2025/2026 is £17 per person but for those joining after the 1st April 2026 there is reduced rate of £10 covering the period up to the end of August 2026. Our subscription year runs from September to August.

This includes free attendance at all monthly meetings (from January 2026 bi-monthly)

Members of groups meeting in rented rooms also pay £1 per session towards room hire.

For those groups which incur travel or entrance fees the full cost must be paid. The Group Leader will arrange with the group how these fees will be collected.

There are reduced membership fees for affiliated members who are members of another u3a and who have paid their membership fee.

If you pay tax, your subscription may be Gift Aided. Just fill in your details on the membership application form.

Membership Fee rates

Individual membership - £17 (£10 from 1 April 2026)

Joint membership (living at the same address) - £17 (£10 from 1 April 2026) per person

Associate membership- only applicable to existing members of another u3a - £13 (£7 from 1 April2026)

How to join

There are two ways you can join.

1) The easiest way to join is to fill in the online form lower down this page and press submit to send it to the membership secretary.

2) If you prefer to complete the form by writing in your details you can also download, print out and complete the membership application form and post it to the membership secretary at the address on the form. Click here to download the form .
