If you are interested in Russia and Ukraine and would like to find out more, please come along. You do not need any in-depth knowledge – just an interest in this fascinating subject.

Aim of the lecture and interactive discussion.

To increase our knowledge and understanding of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine by exploring the political systems and idealogical differences between the two countries.

The session will be divided into three parts:

1. Events leading up to the invasion in 2022 and the reasons given by Russia for its “special military operation”.

2. A brief overview of the history and geography of Russia and Ukraine.

3. The current situation and prospects for peace.

There will be plenty of opportunities to discus the issues and to ask questions throughout the session.
