The Bloomsbury Group were a group of friends of exceptional talent. It included artists, writers, poets, critics, philosophers as well as one of the most influential economists of the last century. Their personal and professional lives are full of fascination and their influence extends to the present day.

The current sessions on Bloomsbury will end next month. Unfortunately, those sessions were oversubscribed with the result that not everyone could attend. We also have had an influx of new members some of whom have also expressed an interest in Bloomsbury.

Therefore, it has been decided to offer a short form two session course on Bloomsbury in April.

This will be concentrating on the lives and loves within Bloomsbury and will provide a good overview of this remarkable group of people and of their quite outstanding achievements in the fields of literature, art, design, publishing, psychoanalysis and economics.

These two sessions will be held at the Community Centre, Town Close, Stokesley on Tuesday 14 April and Tuesday 28 April at 10 am.

If you are interested in attending please contact the course leader Ian Watt.
