Stokesley & District

u3a

Stokesley is a historic market town dating back to the 13th Century, located on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.

The Stokesley and District u3a was established in 2004 by and for those who have stepped away from full time work, wish to learn with others, make friends and have fun.

Since then we have grown to a membership of over 500 with around 45 to 50 activity groups.

To see a list of our activity groups click here.

Members are provided with new social, learning and activity opportunities through a wide range of informal interest groups.

All members are invited to our bi-monthly meetings to socialise, enjoy a speaker, take part in general discussion and find out about group activities.

To find out more about our u3a please contact the secretary.

Our u3a is a member of the Third Age Trust and a registered charity. The Third Age Trust is a national (and international) charity and a non-political, non-religious organisation dedicated to providing a social and self-learning environment for retired/semi-retired people. The u3a is accessible and inexpensive; it’s a great way to keep body and mind active as we travel through this 'third age' of our lives.

If you are retired or semi-retired then take a closer look at what we do. More information can be found by clicking on the Menu links at the top of the page.
